​ANCESTOR HOUR


We’re excited to announce the launch of a new monthly program — ANCESTOR HOUR — beginning January 5, 2026 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Center for Higher Learning, just before our regular meetings.

This informal gathering offers a relaxed space where members can ask questions, share research tips, and revisit or expand on topics from the previous month’s meeting. It’s perfect for members of all experience levels—whether you're just starting out or have years of family research under your belt.

You’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow members, receive mentoring and guidance, and participate in discussions on topics like “Getting Started in Genealogy,” “Breaking Down Brick Walls,” “DNA Results—Now what?” and more.

Why attend?

The Ancestor Hour helps members stay connected, especially if they missed a prior meeting. It encourages collaboration, builds relationships, and strengthens our club’s sense of community.

We’re currently seeking volunteer facilitators and mentors who are willing to help guide discussions or offer informal advice. If you're interested, please let us know!

2026 Club Officers

The results of our 2026 election are in. A motion was made and carried to cast a unanimous ballot re-electing our current officers:

Officers will begin their new terms on January 1, 2026. Thank you to all who participated in the election and to our officers for their ongoing commitment.
Celebrating Our Members:
Introducing the Trilogy Genealogy Club Recognition Program

We are proud to announce our new Member Recognition Program, dedicated to honoring the achievements, contributions, and dedication of our members. This program reflects our deep appreciation for those who support our mission to preserve and share family history.

The goal is simple yet meaningful: to recognize the time, talent, and heart our members invest in genealogical research and club involvement. Through annual awards and acknowledgments, the program aims to inspire continued engagement and foster a stronger sense of community within our club.

The Recognition Program will officially launch at the December 1 membership meeting. During the launch, we’ll share the program’s purpose, introduce award categories, and announce the date of our Annual TGC Recognition Ceremony.
Each year, honorees will be celebrated during the ceremony with a brief story or highlight about their contributions, and featured in both the Newsletter and our Club Website.

was the winning name for our soon-to-be-relaunched club newsletter.  Beginning in January, it will have the same excellent content but with a new look.  Daeon Smith-Jones will be its editor.  Thank you, Daeon, for stepping up to contribute to our club!
